All within easy reach of Sheffield. Then there's Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak (Robin Hood) at Edwinstowe, just down the road from Cresswell Craggs. The list of places to go and visit in this area is vast. Hope this helps. ;-)  Be aware you cannot go in the caves to view the art. kanda8 Â Â 10 #14 Posted May 21, 2013 Be aware you cannot go in the caves to view the art. Â There are I think 2 caves you can go in on the guided tour, one of the caves has a gangway and stairs in it to enable you to see inside the cave
 Share this content via...
SpikeMac   10 #15 Posted May 21, 2013 Be aware you cannot go in the caves to view the art.  I thought that you could.  They close the cave in the Autumn and Winter because it has bats hibernating there.  Here is a link to the Rock Art Tour
 Share this content via...
kanda8 Â Â 10 #16 Posted May 21, 2013 :love:does anyone has some good, beautiful recommended places to travel near Sheffield for this weekend(25/5/2013-27/5/2013). Â There's also Bolsover Castle,Hardwick Hall and the Hardwick Inn coach house where you will be hard pushed to find better food served in the local area. kanda8 Â Â 10 #19 Posted May 21, 2013 We really are spoilt for choice in this part of the country. The Peak District, Lincolnshire Fens, North York Moors, or the coast, within 2hrs you can be at either the east or west coast. Or if the weather is nice and you don't want to be bothered with the crowds this weekend get the bbq out and just chill at home.
