Does anyone has some good, beautiful recommended places to travel?

Recommended Posts

cresswell crags, caves and cave art from the Neolithic period,on the road from clowne to cockney.Fox House in the peak district, just outside Sheffield, also Hathersage,Grindleford,Hope and Castleton. All within easy reach of Sheffield. Then there's Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak (Robin Hood) at Edwinstowe, just down the road from Cresswell Craggs. The list of places to go and visit in this area is vast. Hope this helps.

;-)

Be aware you cannot go in the caves to view the art.

There are I think 2 caves you can go in on the guided tour, one of the caves has a gangway and stairs in it to enable you to see inside the cave

I thought that you could.

They close the cave in the Autumn and Winter because it has bats hibernating there.

Here is a link to the Rock Art Tour

:love:does anyone has some good, beautiful recommended places to travel near Sheffield for this weekend(25/5/2013-27/5/2013).

There's also Bolsover Castle,Hardwick Hall and the Hardwick Inn coach house where you will be hard pushed to find better food served in the local area.

We really are spoilt for choice in this part of the country. The Peak District, Lincolnshire Fens, North York Moors, or the coast, within 2hrs you can be at either the east or west coast. Or if the weather is nice and you don't want to be bothered with the crowds this weekend get the bbq out and just chill at home.

oh yea, always get those two mixed up (Castleford & Castleton).

The Nags head does a brilliant breakfast and the Bulls Head does a cracking lunch - spoilt for choice :D

That could make for a disasterous romantic break :hihi:
