Thanks a lot, York is definitely a beautiful place, I have been there before in winter, but not this time, do you know is there any special beautiful scenery during this time?

cresswell crags, caves and cave art from the Neolithic period,on the road from clowne to cockney.Fox House in the peak district, just outside Sheffield, also Hathersage,Grindleford,Hope and Castleton. All within easy reach of Sheffield. Then there's Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak (Robin Hood) at Edwinstowe, just down the road from Cresswell Craggs. The list of places to go and visit in this area is vast. Hope this helps.

Just take a drive out to the peaks, we've got some of the best scenery in the country on our doorstep.

Pub lunch in Castleford is always a good shout, or camping at Edale or Hope?
