Police activity around Abbeydale Road / Broadfield Road

There are lots of police vehicles and walking policemen around Heeley Baths and Virgin Active. They have gone along Abbeydale Road and keep looking into the river. Anyone know what is happening?

There has been a group of teens in the area who seem to think it's okay to throw stones at passing vehicles. Its been reported on the Woodseats and Gleadless crime update site that there is going to be a muchmore visible police presense and some teens have already been identified

Police helicopter's overhead now plus lots more sirens. And reports of armed police near Heeley Baths. Sounds like more than a few kids . . . Anybody got any info?

I have just walked by the end of Machon Bank. Saw loads of police cars plus a police 4x4 with it's back wheel on a small bike. Could be a child's bike or BMW. No idea what is happening but yes the helicopter is out and I saw about 7/8 vehicles plus the Abbeydale Road end was taped off.

Was just coming to ask same question. My other half works down there and I can't get hold of him. I'm at Woodseats and the police helicopter has been hovering over that area for ages...

Side of tesco taped off and road opposite lots of armed police vehicles present too. Not sure what's happened
