Sheffieldish - words & phrases

when i was growing up sheffield was only just understandable,now Walsall had a speech all their own nothing even remotely English and if the two ever met LOL LOL

moving to Leicester in 46 and Sheffield being very much into poem's my job at school was to recite my very long list then the class had to spend an hour trying to make out what on earth i'd just said

Fry Up, left over potatoes etc from sunday dinner and fried in a pan for Sunday supper
