Apparently the Urban Dictionary has 'splodging' as totally differrent form pastime.

My grandma was a very good cook (her roast lamb was to die for) but if she encountered some stew or other meat concoction that she didn't like the look of, she would say it was "cagmag". For a long time I thought this word was grandma's own invention, but it is actually in the O.E.D. and means "unwholesome, decayed or loathsome meat" - see here. I like the reference to a "tough old goose" - sounds like my grandma, bless her..:P

My Mum used the word "Perisher" (long before the mirror cartoon,) to describe some one who was tight with their money...
