Attack/mugging at Frog Walk

Hi

 

Just heard that a friend of mine was attacked on Frog Walk on Friday late afternoon, two guys grabbed him from behind and pushed him up against the wall and pulled his arm up, took his money. they knew what they were doing.

 

btw, what is happening with F/W? twenty years ago, as an NUS officer at Hallam I had to put posters up warning students to be very careful, can't the police put posters up warning people to be vigilant, do they have patrols there?

Seems to have been a problem spot for a very long time - I also remember 20-odd years ago as students we were warned against using Frog Walk alone.

Its been a very dicey walk for many years now, very secluded with loads of natural hiding places for these degenerates and just not the worth risking this route nowadays, hopefully reported to the police?

keep a mace spray ready in your hand if you have to walk in areas like this. Also, the little hand alarms can scare some robbers off.

Pretty sure its one of the little back street type things behind there towards the cemetery, somewhere in the vicinity lol

It sort of goes from the roundabout sharrow lane through to ecclesall road.

 

To be fair at either end it looks pretty ominous - if you were lost you wouldn't likely choose to go that way unless you were particularly looking to go down a dark alley.
