pottedplant 10 #2 Posted April 28, 2013 Have your remembered to include the railcard in the system? I ask because Friday 15th July weekend comes to £22.70 for 2 adults and 3 kids (but you are right think part of journey is now by bus because of the landslide) Tickets Price Single Fare - Outward journey 2 x Adult - Advance (Family & Friends Railcard) Saving £4.10 £7.90 3 x Child - Advance (Family & Friends Railcard) Saving £5.55 £3.45 Single Fare - Return journey 2 x Adult - Advance (Family & Friends Railcard) Saving £4.10 £7.90 3 x Child - Advance (Family & Friends Railcard) Saving £5.55 £3.45 Total £22.
 Share this content via...
SuperOwl86 10 #3 Posted April 28, 2013 Fantasy Island is Skegness and the reason for the bus is due to Nottingham station being shut for 6 weeks in the summer.
 Share this content via...

growup 10 #5 Posted April 28, 2013 I get £69.70 on train as the cheapest plus the railcard at £28 ---------- Post added 28-04-2013 at 20:09 ---------- The 15th july is a monday...... National Express is £70 but only £16 for a coach card and it takes you straight to Butlins. It's been about 6 years since I went to Butlins but for 2 adults and one child I think it cost about £50 so £70 for your family doesn't seem bad. angrymumtwo 10 #6 Posted April 29, 2013 What about the other coach companies? I think the interchange acts as an agent Gordons, Andrews etc and they drop off at Butlins. We used Gordons because the connections to get to Skeggy are so bad. Carrying all the luggage, a grandma and two kids at peak times on a train full of other families doing the same thing turned out to be too stressful. It was worth paying for the coach.
