Clown Shoes   10 #25 Posted April 19, 2013 YOU SAID.....  Well that is because in England, we are far more refined than the Irish. The only reason Guinness is the driving force behind St Patricks Day is because the Irish were going to get fall over drunk on that day anyway and couldn't think of anything better to do, it was the first time they had an actual excuse to drink for 24 hours and fight each other.  But you dont think thats offensive cause your parents are Irish? FACEBOOK   10 #28 Posted April 19, 2013 So what do you think a national St Georges Day would involve? Village fates, morris dancing & tiddly winks?  You just described my childhood, oh such joy.  I should think it would involve, a lovely church service in the morning, a plentiful feast in the afternoon with morris dancing and cricket, in the evening, a Shakespearean play. Wonderful and dignified don't you think.
 Share this content via...
