Outlook express asking for password ??

When i try to send/receive emails a window pops up asking for password details, this is the first time in 5yrs and my usuall password will not work.

Any help out there

Hi Phoppy,

 

Do you use Gmail i can see there is some issues with their services at the moment.

In support of this, Thunderbird had the same issue this morning. It began working again around 2pm.

My outlook was down for a couple of hours i'am on blueyonder outlook up and working now

it must have been outlook site down

Thanks every body for your help,It was mentioned in a previous post that this some times happen and it corrects it's self which is exactly what happened 10 mins after i started this thread.

Outlook Express is not a mail service provider. It's a tool to connect you to one.

 

Gmail IS a mail service provider and OE can be setup up to connect to Gmail.

I f its giving problems and you dont use it stop it from loading at start up

in the advanced settings chance the use same settings as incomming mail server.
