Burnsie 10 #1 Posted April 8, 2013 Looking to buy a new TV. Obviously the best deals are found on the internet. However, I’d like to get an idea of the look and performance of a TV first, and therefore would like to visit a few shops to get a short list. So....any ideas where will have a good selection of (different brands) TV? John Lewis in town. Curry’s in town?....... Already done Richer Sounds Errr........ fabgirl 10 #2 Posted April 8, 2013 Cost co have a good range but you need a members card, you can go in as a visitor to look round but can only purchase with a card. Think they give you a 5 year warranty in price too. There is a place at ecclesfield that is supposed to be good too, sorry but I don't remember their name at the moment. Currys have a good selection most shops, but especially at Carbrook, there's nothing stopping you looking in store scoping it out making note of the make & model, then buying on internet. Sam71 10 #6 Posted April 8, 2013 Lost me, if you can save money online, you'd pay more in store? is that what you're saying? That's how it looked to me too. My last TV was purchased on Ebay, but I also did my homework first by actually going and looking at what is out there band what kind of deals are around, not only online but in the actual real life shops You are doing what any normal person would do by seeing what you want that meets your needs etc , then going for the best deal for you. What are you going to do when all the shops that currently sell TVs close because all they are is a place to view products rather than buy them?
