No, they are asking for donations - you download for free by clicking on the 'download for free' link. I downloaded it a while back and was not too keen on it - BodhiLinux looks more appealing from an aesthetic perspective.

:D yeah it's just odd to me that people would want something that looks like a poor copy of the things they are meant to be an alternative too.

A big part of an OS should be the user interface and experience - Pear and Zorin seem to sacrifice that to be 'lookalikes'

Like I have said elsewhere, everyone is entitled to an opinion! :hihi:

 

I never liked Unity until I tried Diamond II-B but sadly, because it is a remix it does not like my AMD video/audio chipset. In fact it had an additional function not present in Unity - things went wrong after updates - clearly geared to Intel Graphics etc.

Downloaded the LXLE ISO when it was released (end of August), couldn't get it to boot/install from USB

Just installed with DVD this pm on an old notebook - took an hour but very quick and responsive. Do you have any machine with GNU/Linux already installed? If you do then MultiSystem has always been the best one for me.

Yes I have 12.4 on a PC, so will give MultiSystem a go,
