Tell us a Limerick (Part 9)

But if you'd seen his website, you'd say

"This chap is so skilful... O.K.,

His pictures show style

With paintbrush and tile..." :)

Perhaps he just had a bad day*. :(

(* Or a week...)

And then - just to add to my woe

The boiler pipes split... non-stop flow: :(

Gas Man couldn't mend it

So simply condemned it... :o

I'm watching my bills grow and grow.

All that glisters is not gold

A saying i learned when not so old

These infernal men

Strike again and again

And another darned pup we've been sold.

Somebodys not happy I see

send for Dominic from the bbc

He'll weed out the Dross

and show em who's boss

and expose them all on TV.

I think I was a founder member of this thread

as far as I remember we had street cred

there was Red, Fareast and me

Steve and m'isbehaving you see

all before Red and John were wed.

Hi Jane, yes I'm keeping well

that is as far as I can tell

who knows when the grim reaper strikes

seems to happen just as he likes

chanting unclean and ringing his bell

Hazel thank you for setting the record straight

If only those mentioned we could reinstate

But we do try our best

RR, Lin, me and the rest

But if you came back we'd celebrate.

Today is a really sad day

Our friend Redrobbo passed away

We'll all miss his rhymes

And his takes on the times

A truly nice man passed our way.

In remembrance of Red, one of his Limerick's, his Limerick's where amongst the best.

Is this a medical theme I detect?

It must be, for when I reflect

On looking down at my body,

There's a bit that's gone shoddy,

And sadly, it's no longer erect!

I consulted my doctor, a sage,

Who said it was due to my age,

At times it's a fiddle,

As it's now bent in the middle,

It's so frustrating I go in a rage!

My story I know is quite sad,

This never happened to me as a lad,

But let's no longer linger,

About my poor finger,

As this arthritis is driving me mad!

Nice one Joto. I wanted to post a limerick in tribute to Red but couldn't find the words.

A true gentleman passed by our forum dear friends:D

To his partner and family commisserations we send:love:

Those of us who met Red last year:D

For a convivial chat and a beer:D

Know that he'll not be forgotten on here - the end:love:

Last night I had a bit of a shock:shocked:

Gave the old confidence a knock:help:

I came off my trusty broom:suspect:

Finished in a hospital room:help:

I want TLC so please don't mock:hihi::hihi:
