He should have stuck it out for the rest of his term. Unless you're terminally ill, in jail (or about to be) or dead suck it up and think of the tax payers who have to a) fork out the costs for another election and b) put up with a load of idiots (or candidates as they're more commonly called) knocking on the door and wasting your time.

Did Ed go into politics because David did?

I do know that Tony Blair had a pact with Gordon Brown at the Granita Restaurant before the 1997 election, but I didn't think that David and Ed did.

I made an assumption,it was probably guess work on my part, but a womans intuition proves i'm right sometimes.;)

Yet another so-called Labour party member with his snout in the trough. If it's a charity he's going to be working for, what sort of a person will rob the needy of £280,000 just to line their own pockets?

You'd have thought that the near enough £1m extra he's made doing anything other than the job he was elected to do and that we pay him for would have enabled him to do the job for either nothing or just an average salary, if he's doing it to 'repay a personal debt'

Weasel words, just another greedy barsteward like Blair and Brown and most of the rest of the Labour shadow cabinet, champagne socialists, two faced and out for themselves.

Im not a labour voter but David Milliband is a far better speaker than his brother. What a shame Ed sounds like a horse chewing gum when he speaks.:gag:

Considering some of the views expressed on this topic, I can't wait for the day that Thatcher dies. There's no way such a thread, if it was to exist, can be locked on this forum. To do so would be agendaist.
