My hubby has. I am from Sheffield but lived in Oz for thirty years before coming back home. Hubby was happy to come here, loves the countryside, history and the pubs. We are very happy, been back 18 months.

I'm enjoying it. The weather is definitely an improvement and I'm enjoying the pace of life more hustle and bustle than Sheffield but not so manic as to be unpleasant.

 

The only downside is that being English locals always assume I'm here on holiday.

From Australia more than half a lifetime ago--lived in Leeds for three years then came here. Hadn't intended to stay but things just worked out that way and I've been pretty happy here.

I have lived in Myanmar(Burma) for many years and returned to the city late last year.

 

I got a part time job immediately. I do not think the city has improved. I enjoy this forum, but there are some people who appear determined to be unpleasant.

 

The standard of living has improved dramatically, people seem less content.
