AngryDog   10 #26 Posted March 22, 2013 My hubby has. I am from Sheffield but lived in Oz for thirty years before coming back home. Hubby was happy to come here, loves the countryside, history and the pubs. We are very happy, been back 18 months. ---------- Post added 23-03-2013 at 01:27 ----------  I thought this was a fair dinkum question. Sorry I bothered to be helpful when folk are just messing about  For me it's a fair dinkum question, I'm interested in who has moved to Sheffield from elsewhere
 Share this content via...

donuticus   10 #29 Posted March 22, 2013 How's that working out? Better weather at least?  I'm enjoying it. The weather is definitely an improvement and I'm enjoying the pace of life more hustle and bustle than Sheffield but not so manic as to be unpleasant.  The only downside is that being English locals always assume I'm here on holiday. Waltheof   10 #30 Posted March 22, 2013 From Australia more than half a lifetime ago--lived in Leeds for three years then came here. Hadn't intended to stay but things just worked out that way and I've been pretty happy here.
 Share this content via...
Hillpig   10 #31 Posted March 22, 2013 I have lived in Myanmar(Burma) for many years and returned to the city late last year.  I got a part time job immediately. I do not think the city has improved. I enjoy this forum, but there are some people who appear determined to be unpleasant.  The standard of living has improved dramatically, people seem less content.
