butterball   10 #38 Posted March 6, 2013 These kinds of shops are brilliant for things like toothbrushes and soap. Two bars of Dove soap for 99p whereas they're £1.39 I think in Asda. Also, my kids eat loads of Soreen loaf and it's cheap in there. Saying that they love that Tesco value version and that's only 28p. Also, things like Quavers crisps, I get those from the £1 shop sometimes as for 6 bags in Asda it's about £1.70 now! It does frustrate me though that the kind of food they sell is mostly rubbish but it's cheap. There should be a 99p fruit and veg shop - it's that that's costly these days
 Share this content via...

mickey finn   12 #40 Posted March 6, 2013 Correct !! Its a shame because Ive had some good bargains from there. The tills are badly understaffed though, and all seem foreign.  I hate foreign tills, I remember getting ripped off in the 2.69 Turkish Lira shop.
