Sheffield Stag do

Hi everyone

 

I am bringing 12 other gents (all in late twenties) to sheffield in april for a stag do (Thursday to Saturday), but don't know the area at all!

 

We are going to the darts on the thursday at the motor point arena but staying in city centre - can anyone suggest any good places to go on the thursday night when we will probably be in fancy dress - From what i've seen west/division street are the likely places - lloyds, bungalows and bears, the common room, players bar, the forum, revolution - are these any good?

 

on the friday night thinking of going out to a few places like crystal bar and soyo before hitting a club - possibly embrace or leadmill - thoughts?

 

Also is leopold square good for any bars?

ecclesall road may be worth a look friday or saturday. Otherwise west street and division street loads of pubs just go in what you like. leopold square is good, a few pubs a bit chilled out rather than mega busy

If you're in your late 20's my suggestion for the weekend would be starting the top end of west st. I'd recommend the Vodka Rev bar. Then a pub crawl down either west st or Div st and possibly end up in the Viper Rooms. Although at your age Embrace might be ok , but I wouldn't know cos I've not been in for a long time .

I doubt many of the division street bars will let you in wearing fancy dress.

Sounds like you have a fair plan there. You might be ok with fancy dress especially with darts being on. If not very short walk back to west street and you will be fine.

You have a few hours to kill there, hope you have a good time. For a bit of variety, have you thought about a Comedy Club (Last Laugh maybe?) on one of the evenings and maybe watch some live football or rugby on the saturday afternoon? Im sure either United or Wednesday will be at home, or if you prefer rugby at Abbeydale (Sheffield rufc) or Dore More (Sheffield Tigers) will be on. Leopold Square is good for bars and good places to eat if you book.

He's on a stag do not a tea party get thee sen tut spearmint rhino's after the leadmill only 2 200 yards away probably get a free dance for the stag......if you want a good perv on some student birds gerrup broomhill few decent pubs and plenty of stuck up talent that you'll never get hold of..... get yourself in the window of Cavendish or varsity during the day and watch the talent go by with a pint and some sport............heaven

Id say youve got a good plan already. West street if your in fancy dress with the typical chain bars. Div Street startin at The hop and work your way down , bowery ,green room ,forum ,common room( good for sport and pool) ,frog, great gatsby ect.

 

Eccie roads ok for a few places to booze ,cottage&lescar at sharrowvale road then a walk or taxi down to nursery tav ,champs ect.

 

Broomhill (student area) Notty house ,south sea ,fox & duck ,place and broomhill tav

 

Kelham Island (if your not that roudy) you can start there and crawl your way into town. Riverside,fat cat , ship ,kelham island tav,shakespears , 3 tuns

 

Leopold square has 3 bars in it but might be a bit posh for a stag do!Few pubs within walking distance though

Sounds like it will be a fantastic weekend, Sheffield is definitely the place to be!! Why not come down to Grosvenor G Casino on Queens road while your here? With you all being new members to the casino and it being a stag party we will make a fuss of you and sort you all a round of drinks, a bottle of bubbly for the group and a £5 gaming chip each?!

You`ve got half a dozen nice pubs in easy walk that have all kinds of weird and wonderful beer (and lager). Lots on Eccy Road too.
