I am single I work and always have, I live in a 2 bedroom council house, the 2nd bedroom just holds a three quarter bed. I am due to retire soon so may possibly be on benefits at some point, do I not have a right to be able to have my grandchildren stay over? What if I help my family out with childcare as the government urge us to do, they cant have it both ways.

If youre over state pension age it doesnt affect you.

Just looked at the petition. Surely you should be going down the road that this is socially imoral rather than atacking rich people with lots of bedrooms?

2 wrongs dont make a right!

Thats the problem its not a bedroom tax! its a benefit cut. I do wish people would use the correct term.

All it means is those who have more bedrooms will get less housing benefit.

I see a few turned out in Sheffield for a demo against this Benefit Cut . Sheffield Uncut ,(whoever they are) were there ,and it looks like the usual suspects were there too..................tree huggers, Unionists , socialists.

No, it's a reduction in benefit for people who have excess bedrooms and claim HB.

its just a way to free up the council houses before the Rumanian's and Bulgarians come here next year...they all have big families you know....

the people of sheffield will have to house share to make way for our next influx...:hihi:
