Is Forge Valley a good school?

Recommended Posts

At the moment there is a major reorganisation of staff taking place at FV.

Staff are having to apply for their own position, where they are still available.

The result will be that some perfectly adequate teachers will be forced to leave

and some that have faces that fit,but not so adequate will be staying.

It is obvious that the new head of what will shortly be an academy wants his own team

and to hell with those he thinks will not fit.

Is this helping the education of FV pupils,or is it political wrangling to appease Ofsted.

it is not a recipe for a happy school, and the kids have gone from being guinea pigs to victims of vivisection.

With weekly changes shifting the expectations and goalposts, the government are trying their best to make the education of our young people into a business. You will get what you pay for.

No thick kids allowed these days. It`s an O-level equivalent pass, A-C, or `notice to improve` for your school

This post shows that education standards in the past were often quite low.You do not seem qualified to make any comments about education,or anything else for that matter.

Support your child by supporting the school.

Yes i agree Education standards must have been low in the past As who ever was said to be qualified for the merger to go-ahead in the first place got it all wrong it seems !!!:hihi::hihi:

Do you mean

"whoever claimed to be qualified enough to sanction the merger now seems to made an error"

Are you a football entrepreneur as in Ron Manager, from the fast Show?Or the new head of Forge Folly?

I find this quite interesting, but suggests that the teaching numbers will be being reduced which is worrying ( also parents were informed that there would be more than enough staff especially in the core subjects so that the students did not have to have a lot of lessons with cover supervisors or supply teachers). Can you confirm the rumours then that Ms McKinlay will not be the head of the new academy.
