medusa   16 #2 Posted January 28, 2013 If you want to build bulk then the only way to do it is by causing your body to build new fibres and you do that by working your muscles to exhaustion by using big weights.  Smaller weights with more reps will tone what you have, but only by causing micro-scarring by forcing the muscle to work harder than it can cope with will you cause bulking up.
