Can anyone tell me there thoughts .on this school and there s.e.n department

The school is ok but the SEN dept is quite poor.

My friend removed her kids (both have special needs) as she wasnt happy at all with the schools sen department.

Well fine, perhaps the word "ok" was me being a bit optimistic.

Ignore the snobs. It is all down to if the person wants to learn.

My daughter left Newfield 2012 with 12 GCSE's grade B or above.

When you say SEN department is that the support for the students of Newfield or the Talbot school attached to Newfield?

 

I can't really comment on Newfield, apart from my experience of the students as they are leaving school and I don't wish to be nasty towards children so I shall keep my mouth firmly zipped on that matter

 

However if you are wondering about Talbot, I can't rate it highly enough, it is a fantastic school my brother who is 18 recently left. He has cerebral palsy and the support from the staff and the facilities and experiences they provide are excellent. It also has an Ofsted outstanding rating.

Newfield seems ok in my opinion, the new headmaster was my old deputy head at a different school- and he will do wonders for that school.

 

Can't comment on a S.E.N at Newfield, they have one at King Ecgberts which seems ok.
