Yorkshire Water

We all (me included) like to complain, rightly, about poor service, but here is the other side.

 

Got up this morning to find only a trickle of water from the cold water tap which eventually stopped altogether.

 

I checked on the website, no problems reported. My neighbour also had no water so it wasn't just me.

 

I rang YW and was told a burst water main had been reported. It was just round the corner from me. It was hoped it would be fixed within 4 to 6 hours.

 

Shortly after another call from them, a lovely lass said the technician had diverted the supply (or something like that) and the water should be back on.

She called again to make sure I had water again, which I had.

 

Excellent service, the like of which I don't often see these days.

 

So well done Yorkshire Water.

That's lovely, as you said its rare that people bother to give positive feedback, and it always makes me smile when I get the occasional nice message at work.

I phoned YW recently because I had missed a payment and the lady I spoke to was so lovely, very polite and helpful. My phone cut off twice (I had a bad signal) and she called me back on it, and still didn't sound annoyed at all (unlike me ) I wish I'd got her name.
