naomi13 Â Â 10 #1 Posted January 10, 2013 Yes, I know - how long is a piece of string and all that...but we are looking at getting new front and back doors and just wondering what sort of prices people have paid recently? It will be for a terraced house and we're just after something simple looking and secure (pvc, composite?). Â Thanks
 Share this content via...

biotechpete   10 #3 Posted January 10, 2013 Composite is quite a lot more expensive, over 1k from Sheffield window centre. PVC around 600. Both quotes included top light & fitting in terrace house.   Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
 Share this content via...

biotechpete   10 #5 Posted January 10, 2013 Just checked the quote from last year, so 1.3k for composite and closer to 800 for pvc, but had better quotes for pvc.   Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android
 Share this content via...
gnvqsos   10 #6 Posted January 10, 2013 You can buy hardwood doors, morticed, for about £100-then treat with microporous varnish.A joiner will charge about £75 to hang inc. door furniture. Two doors all in for £400,and will outlast you.Composites seem dear and UpVC look awful on a decent house, and will yellow in time.
