Root and install custom rom

Is there anyone who can root my HTC one X and put a custom rom on for me?

Yeah I did a Samsung other week. Download root to memory card, turn phone off , turn on using - hold power and volume up and home, menu pops up, select root and wait 20 seconds then reboot.

 

Then you can do unlocking etc... Nothing to it.

I would definitely do it yourself - a bit of reading on xda and you'll be fine.

 

Its worth it, because you can then try new roms as you please.

 

For the One X theres a One Click Toolkit which makes it easy to do

Be warned though. Once you unlock the bootloader via htcdev you may struggle with warranty. Even if you return the phone to stock it shows relocked in the bootloader. Only way to stop that is to get S-off... Which there isnt a way yet.

I've had 2 rooted phones repaired under warranty (1 HTC and 1 samsung), never even mentioned it.

Samsung arent bothered but HTC have refused ALOT of HOX's because of this. Its been one of the big topics of conversation on xda. I also said it MAY be difficult, not that it doesnt happen.

 

Its also the reason i havent touched mine. Although im quite happy running stock for now.

I did my wildfire...brilliant. Now my GPS works too. DIY.

Just remember also..you could brick it too...
