Motherwell accept Sheffield United's bid for Jamie Murphy, the player has today held talks with the club, Stuart McCall states that if the talks have been successful and the player likes what he sees then he will join the club.

 

The added bonus being that we can offer the player first team football week in week out and in addition to this Jamie Murphy apparently knows Ryan Flynn as well.

We really need a stopper centre half in the Morgan style at least on loan until Collins is fit again. There are too many teams with a big target man in this league and Hill and/or Harry can not handle that type of player (as proven by Howard).

According to DW, it's a done deal, Motherwell want him to play his last game against Celtic, and hopefully no injuries, he will be playing for the Blades on Saturday.

 

DW also said, he hopes "a couple" are coming in, so at least one more maybe.

Happy New Year to you too Bypass, yes I know what you mean, and it could all fall down, but DW just been on Radio Sheff saying it was all done and he should be in Sheffield on Thursday, he said something about cross-border signings and the fact that the 3rd is the official date in Scotland for January transfers.

 

Anyway, I hope that I am correct in what I think DW said! He also said that Murphy and Ryan Flynn are mates and Flynn was a big factor in bringing him to the Blades. He then said he expects "a couple" of new faces at the lane, not sure who the other one is.
