A virus..can you help me please.

That's got them. How's it running now?

 

Give it a quick scan with Malwarebytes. Uncheck the offer of the free trial of Malwarebytes Anti-malware PRO at the end of the installation.

I currently have superantispyware on the laptop, and i always thought it was okay...would you replace it with the ones above.? does it run continuous, or just when you want to do a scan..?

 

Yeah the lappy seems to be running great, but will not connect to internet wirelessly,and with cable it is hit and miss.......i will reboot it and see what its like...

It doesn't run "continuous" (be sure to uncheck the free trial of the pro version)

 

You can have it installed as well as SAS. I prefer mbam to SAS personally, but there's nothing wrong with SAS.

 

Run mbam and then we'll troubleshoot the wireless.

Okay, downloaded it and ran it...found four bugs, i deleted them and rebooted...

it seems great, but it cant connect to the net by wireless....it seems like the wireless card has been turned off, and when i press enable, it says press fn+f2 to enable.........which doesnt work.?

Post the log. You'll find it under the logs tab when you open the program. Highlight it and click open.

 

Then go > start > Control panel > Network Connections > right click your wireless connection and choose repair.

i have a problem doing this ..firstly when it loads the control panel....it says resources not available....when i click ok...it then loads up........when i click on connections.and open it.....it doesnt allow me to right click, it just goes blue and it freezes...

Thanks Waddler..i went on that site and tried to download my drivers, but for some reason it would not let me and told me to contact my internet provider or something...

to be honest i think i have to come to the end of the road with this one, its only an old laptop and i am fastly loosing patience with it,perhaps i will go back to it again some day, but for now i have had enough...
