Yes, if you get the relevant permissions.

Like everything else on this land, rules are made to be broken.

Why give buildings a Grade 11 listing if it means nothing.

Signed.

It's the kind of vandalism this clueless council has become renowned for.

I will be quite pleased to see it demolished. The new University buildings already in that area are excellent.Perhaps the 'endersons eyesore could go as well.

Does "Public Opinion" know what it wants doing with the building long term?

Or is this just another one of those buildings (like the one on Exchange Place) that people say they don't want knocking down, but don't really have any future use for?

The City Council are being left with various "listed" / "preserved" obstacles like Castle House in the city as it is.

Why doesn't the University just gut the inners and renew and then clean up the shell of it.

It's been done on many other old buildings in other towns.

Why?

So it can stand rotting like the rest of Sheffields "historical buildings". Old buildings are not practical, and will not be used again, so will stand empty and rot to the point the are unstable and have to be knocked down, probably at the expense of the council.

Let someone buy it, pay to have it knocked down, and rebuild something that will be used for another 100 years.
