Flutterbyes   10 #3 Posted December 23, 2012 Have you thought about a Childminder for your little one? Research has shown that younger children are more suited to a homebased setting.  There are some fantastic Childminders out there who provide love, nurturing and care for the whole family.  Good Luck
 Share this content via...
Moosey   10 #4 Posted December 26, 2012 (edited) Research has shown that younger children are more suited to a homebased setting.  For every report that says that, there's an equivalent that says the opposite. There are too many variables - parent's attitudes and opinions, the nature of the staff/minder, the personality of the child - for it to be a measurable point.  First one I stumbled across (2009 admittedly, but still) http://www.guardian.co.uk/education/2009/feb/10/grandparents-childcare-pre-school  There are equal numbers of anti-nursery studies.  The conclusion I come to is that there's no hard evidence either way.
