It was great till it hit the roundabout at shirecliffe, 3 riders got mugged going over towards Burngreave, the ground looks as good as ever,if this doesn't bring tourists to Sheff I don't know what will.

Thoroughly enjoyed that. The Yorkshire and Derbyshire scenery looked fantastic, the villages were decked out very cheerfully indeed, the crowds were enthusiastic and mostly well behaved, and the athletes were amazing. Will try and watch more.

It is run down. Many of the areas it went through are considered amongst the poorest in the entire country.
