i've got to drive along the snake pass tonight to ladybower from sheffield. Does anyone know how the ice is out there?

You're not really on the Snake if you're only going to Ladybower I think..

Theres ice on a good chunk of untreated roads. I would bet that theres plenty of ic on the snake pass.... but if its not been closed and you dont intend on driving like an idiot... go for it.

A walk up Win Hill on a December night....makes for quite a good evening. If you wrap up well enough. Walked up there Christmas morning last year and watched the sun come up.

 

Not everyone sits in their houses and watches soaps all the time.

Take the main Fox house road out of Sheffield, it is well gritted. The road that runs from there to Bamford is well driven so I would be surprised if there is any particularly icy spots, and will be gritted too. I would guess Ringinglow and other less travelled roads will be slippery.

 

Went over fox house way last night in a rear wheel drive car and didn't feel a slip once.
