ZIPPYZ Â Â 10 #208 Posted February 14, 2013 Our back boiler has gone from a nice blue flame on both outlets (not sure what the technical term is!) to being all yellow down one side overnight it seems. Turned it off last night and won't be turning it on again until we've had it checked out. Â Seems that from the two outlets the right hand side is mostly burning OK, yet the left is curling back and following the right hand flame. Â Anyone able to come out and look at it fairly quick? We're also due a service (think it's probably 13 months since the last one). Â We're in S35, Oughtibridge and can obviously take time of work to best accomodate anyone who can come out. Â ---------- Post added 14-02-2013 at 10:15 ---------- Â Corgigasman is coming to the rescue. :-)
 Share this content via...
JBradleybz   10 #209 Posted February 14, 2013 Hi we could attend next week sounds like it could be dirt inside the heat exchanger towards one side thats been building up over the months and could also have some dirt on and inside the main burner/injector. Always make sure you have your own carbon monoxide detector when using a bbu and fire. Always best to check with a flue gas analyser when service is completed, Check your ventilation is also clear and not blocked up with dirt/cobwebs cheers jon at JB Heating Services. ZIPPYZ Â Â 10 #210 Posted February 14, 2013 Thanks Jon, I think I spoke to you this morning, but did a bit more ringing around as I'm not very popular in our house after declaring the boiler must not be used and next week wouldn't have made me any more popular! Â I've arranged for Corgigasman to come out tomorrow morning.
 Share this content via...
