bkcin   10 #2426 Posted March 23, 2013 (edited) Travel SY website claims roads have not been gritted and no gritters have been seen- surely this isn't true?  I saw a few grit trucks out this morning but they were plowing rather than gritting.  ---------- Post added 23-03-2013 at 09:11 ----------  because few people are lucky enough to have a winter car sat in the garage? except you were just trying to be funny, failed  Who said anything about having another car? Nothing wrong with have a RWD car, whats wrong is trying to use them in 4-6 inches of snow...  Do they have legs? Can they walk to a main road and get a bus? Common sense says that that is a better solution that likely damaging your car. Edited March 23, 2013 by bkcin
 Share this content via...

Thought this council had it sussed !!  Why the obsession with clearing it away?  We have well over a foot here and at the moment it looks lovely - but wont be long until the snow shovellers get out and start make huge piles every where - which then take longer to melt.  Yes get the main roads sorted - so that people can get to hospitals, undertake essential tasks (which doesn't mean get to meadow hell) but leave the rest alone.
