I voted for 'The Last Time' in the poll but its hard to pick just one as there are so many brilliant tracks to choose from. Dozens of timeless classics.

two tracks do it for me: 'paint it black' and 'fool to cry'.

Paint it black and the only version of out of time worth listening to is by Chris Farlowe who it was written for

I voted for Gimme Shelter but what about Sister Morphine? Midnight Rambler? Ventilator Blues? Loving Cup?

Sympathy for the Devil just shades Gimme Shelter in my opinion as the Stones best song, but Gimme Shelter is one of my karaoke favorites here in the Philippines and is also a great song. It's basically the unofficial national anthem of the country. The lyrics sum up the place perfectly - overall confusion, flood, earthquake, volcanic eruption, tribal wars, and a generalised sense of continual, ongoing, irresolvable chaos.

I've gone for 2,000 Man. Think that period of 1966 - 1967 stones is vastly underrated. The albums "Aftermath", "Between The Buttons" and "Their Satanic Majesties Request" are not what most people would define as "classic" stones but some great tracks buried in those 3 albums. Also their single "We Love You" (with "Dandelion") on the flip side is probably their most underrated single.

The Stones versions and Chris Farlowe's version are equally worth listening to.
