How lovely to be woken up by a bloke trying to break in your house!!

about an hour ago i heard noises outside,then when i peeked out the window a chuffing bloke on my back garden saw me and jumped over the gate!...hes attempted to take a window out the consevatory.....nice man....no sleep for me ...and im at work at 8.....

We had a break-in through our conservatory only 2 weeks after we'd moved in. The back of the house was accessible on both sides, as the estate was built as open plan. We've had wrought iron fences and gates made & installed on both sides now. They did a great job & (touch wood) we've been fine for the past 8 eyars.

no real deterrent for burglars and syp's clear up rate is crap for such crimes. couple that with the recession= perfect storm.

Good call, but a bit passive. We found that installing these does the trick.

 

The upside is that you don't need to think about staggering starkers around the house half asleep with huge Maglite looking for intruders. (been there, done that, glad I didn't find the intruder in my semi-comatose state)
