Help needed for repairing a mobile phone screen

Recommended Posts

My partners phone (Sony Ericsson Experia X10 mini pro) has a cracked screen an is unable to get his contacts off his phone as they were saved to phone and not the sim is there anyone that can quote me a cheap price to fix the screen please? Or if there is a simpler way of getting his contact numbers back?

Thanks

Can you not just attach your phone via a USB cable to your pc/laptop and get your contacts that way ?

Were they def on the phone, and not saved as Google contacts? If they were Google contacts, then you can just log in on http://www.google.co.uk and access them.

Does the screen work at all?

If you can enable debug mode then you could use screencast to remotely control the phone via a computer and get them that way.

Failing that, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991451 there's instructions within that thread about how to strip it down to replace the screen

Hi yes I think the touch is working cos when I slide my thumb across to unlock it seems as though it has unlocked, how long does this take to do? Can you do it while I wait? Thanks
