Here is a link to a photo on the picturesheffield.com site. The right-hand part of the building was Smith Sayles at No 66 The Wicker - part of the signing can be seen. Here is a modern Google Earth view.

 

I got the wrong corner.Ah well.

many thanks, helpful as always Hilsbro. this is about the only pic i have ever seen of how our place used to look, and im begining to thing i will have to settle for it :(
