Pink2Bubble   10 #1 Posted November 22, 2012 A poor performance on Sunday resulted in Sheffield Forums first league game without a goal scored and another disappointing defeat. Few changes again were made to the side as Tom Gray was restored to the starting line up after being rested against KnowHow, Ryan Lynch also returned but Shaun Baugh, Liam Wales and Nathan Jenkins were all unavailable so Matthew Corker made his first start of the season at left back.  The first half was pretty even in all fairness as both sides had chance but neither side could finish. Shiregreen chances were more clear cut where as Sheffield Forum couldn't really work the keeper as the defenders got last minute blocks.  This game could have been decided by a single goal but it didn't come in the first half. First team to score...looked likely to go on and win this one.  HT: Sheffield Forum 0-0 Shiregreen Athletic  Shiregreen started brighter in the 2nd half and scored early on to take the advantage. Forum failed to get into the game at all, Shane Middlebrook leading the line and having his shots blocked and saved but nothing else was really open to them.  With 10 minutes remaining, Shiregreen scored a second to kill the game off and take all 3 points. It was a very poor showing by Forum but Shiregreen now have 2 decent results as they climb the table.  Next up for Forum is another home tie, this time against Sheffield Titans. Improvements are expected as a new signing joins the team. Lets hope next weeks match report brings better news!  Team: Smith, Lynch, Loving, Griffiths (Appleby), Corker, Neate (Coates), C.
