Don't know if you are on facebook, but if you are do a search for "city socialising - sheffield", thats a good way to get to meet new people.

 

There are loads of activities, http://www.sheffieldwalkinggroup.org.uk is another option.

 

If you want to get fit, come to any of our fitness sessions, the majority of the class members are female, aged 25 to 40/44ish so you'll be mixing with people very similar to yourself

Just wondering why the delay? It's an indoor event, and a great way to get yourself out of the house and meeting people on murky winters' nights.

 

(OK - I'm biased, being one of the crew at Blitz. There are always a couple of us on duty to make sure that newcomers are not left sitting out because they don't have the confidence to ask someone to dance.)

 

There are usually a lot of newcomers just starting in the New Year so you won't feel out of place - though every modern jive class evening throughout the year starts with a beginners' lesson. So get together with Yass and come along!

It seems acceptable for a Lady to post this “I need someone to go out with” type of thread, But there must be blokes out there as well who are LONLEY and could do with a mate?

Perhaps we could tag onto this thread if the OP doesn't mind and that way avoid having the mick taking out of us, I'm Retired (60) and could do with a friend male or female, someone to chat to and maybe go out with once in a while.
