Hazelmay
A thousand apologies, I mis -typed, it should have read 52 not 62 sorrrrreeeee No problem lilaclover. Glad to know someone remembers the old City Grammar. I bet some of my teachers were there in 1952. Was Mr. Harvatt the Head then? Mr. Taylor must have been there, as well as Miss Davies, Miss Cole, Miss Thorold and Mr. Hum. Probably lots more. Good memories.
lilaclover
Hello Hazelmay. Worst memory was Miss Johnson, art mistress, who had amega throm trying to make me use my right hand. Best memory was being bowler in the rounders team and getting my colours.
Terrortone
Hi Hazelmay, I was there from 1962/1967. Can remember Miss ( Don't call me miss, my name is miss JOHNSON ). Mr Harvat and Humm, masters of the old school. Tyrants like Mick Fletcher, Sanderson. Decent ones like Hurley, Adams. Great to look back, sometimes. billiej
Hello lilaclover. I was at CGS 1952 to 1957. Remember the teachers mentioned in various posts. I enjoyed my time there, for the most part, and friends made there are still friends to this day.
