Strix
A good dog groomed should be able to overcome that problem for you. All dogs have an aversion to having their feet handled unless they've been trained out of it Try Terri at Hardwick hounds, godfrey's garden centre, junction
Evei
I would train them out of it. I've never owned a dog that has had problems with any part of it's body being torched and held, but I know some dogs can be quite nasty about it, I'm not quite sure why some dogs are not bothered and others are. Lots of treats and training to de-sensitive them! If they are a young and fit dog I would suggest more walks on tougher surfaces as an easy alternative to trimming claws. joyh
Try stoking the dogs nails and feet without actually doing anything ,that worked for me with my lot.I then found I could clip their nails after a few weeks
