TAT Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Hoping the beer was good up there Tat mate! You missed a great game (seriously), I think DW (your best mate ) has found the line up we need; Blackman out wide, Miller up front, Westlake in the back four, it really, really worked well, and against a team who will be top 6 or there abouts, we made them look below average. Cracking beers matey:) ranging from £2 to £4.10 a pint. A top long weekend. Was disapointed with Newcastles performance, nice to see Dyer again for Swansea. We suffered 25mins then when back to the Planinum suite to watch the rest of the match on TV. Swansea fans (as were the toon fans ) were great to us. Seems Swansea took about 700 and they all stoped up for the weekend:) We were well treated as Blades, The Geordies more than willing to talk footy of any level. Newcastle puts many citys to shame, a real top place. So much money is coming into the area, Gateshead just 2 mins away, is a real up and coming part of the world, clean, modern and right on the Tyne. Yep missed the Lane to be fair, but had regular updates, and saw the goals within mins of our return home. My mate DW ??? lol its about time he got one right lets hope we can kick on tomorrow. UTB. Always please to see a Blades win, But more so for Malagablade a member on here who travelled over from Spain for the weekend.

I agree mate, had many great days and nights in Newcastle and Gateshead. Found one real ale pub where the average price of a pint was less than two quid! even the Guinness was cheap. Glad you had a good day out.
Gazza58 Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 X wife was a geordie [suppose she still is ] so had many a good time up newcastle, like you say the geordies are always willing to talk football and always seemed to have a soft spot for both sheffield clubs.
andymac Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Many plus points from Saturday. Porter and Miller up top, the full backs being prepared to support the wide players, the wide players doing well, all making it much easier for McDonald to have his best game of the season - so many options for him to exploit his passing game. And of course Maguire was a colossus.
