S.U.F.C. vs Stevenage

Great game and the best performance of the season so far. I have been banging on about Miller starting until I was red (and whilte) in the face! The whole team did well, apart from the slip up that let Stevenage in for their consolation goal.

Blackman had a great game out wide and came close to scoring himself, Miller proved what a poacher he can be, just what we need, and Porter worked his socks off and deserved his goal. The crowd reaction, when Wilson took Miller off in the last few minutes, should tell DW that the fans want Miller in the starting line up.

Stevenage are no mugs in this league, and we made them look pedestrian, not sure of the stats but we must have had 75% of the possession overall. If we keep this line up and play the same syle of football, we should have a great season.

Hopefully both McMahon and Hill will be fit today. However Wilson said it was unlikely.

I hope we give it a go today, as Stevenage are not a good side and we should be beating them.

That could be said of the majority of the league though, and we know how that goes.

Didn't need them in the end Robbie, I thought Westlake had a good game, as did Williams.

I would have thought the same but apparently according to official stats Stevenage edged the possession

I would have thought the same as you two but as you said Veritas apparently Stevenage had 53% possession to our 47%.

I guess the main difference is that we applied a good bit more pressure in the opponents half of the pitch than we have done this season, we applied a good bit of attacking pressure and that possibly made it seems like we had all of the possession? I would have thought most of Stevenages possession came in a defending capacity?

The shot stats are far better on the eyes from yesterdays game, 10 on target and 6 off target looks a lot more like it did last season.

Flynn and Miller did no less than I expect them to in all honesty. Both are tricky pacey young lads with should be terrorising defenders in this league. With Blackman out wide now we have a whole different dimension, he tried Cofie on the wing and we won that game but Blackman looks far more dangerous out wide.

First real game this season where we have played with width and put the right sort of balls into the box on a regular basis and people can bash porter all you like but if the right ball goes into the 6 yard box he will get on the end of it thats for sure.

Crewe next and another 3 points is a must.
