Witness needed for violent crime in Nether Edge area

Recommended Posts

If anyone was on Montgomery Road in the Nether Edge area of Sheffield today (Thursday 15th November 2012) between 6pm and 6.45pm as our windows were smashed on our front windows and door. The vehicle used was probably a blue or red car either fiesta or polo.

This was an intended attack to scare the family and we are aware of who it may be but due to no evidence and one vague witness there are no grounds to arrest.

If anyone has seen anyone suspicious or anything please report it. This guy is dangerous and has many previous convictions but he will get away with it if you do not stand up so I'm urging for anyone no matter how small the information may be.

Yeah but I'm sure the police will look into it. As your windows were smashed in. It's a crime. Any names you give the police should be looked into and questioned regards to there whereabouts when the crime was too place. However if the police have no evidence I think you should get cameras fitted at the property. I live around the netheredge area but I am disappointed scums do such thing. I hope you and the family are ok.

The police have closed the case due to lack of evidence. The honest people in the justice system get all of this and the criminals get away with it thats how life is. If i would of lied and said i saw it was definitely him he would of been arrested and got 5 years in prison but me being an honest person i told the truth and now he's got away with the crime and will be able to keep doing this to me and my family. Cameras are such an expensive thing as well as having to save up for the new windows and extra security. So I URGE anyone please with anything to come forward

I don't mean to appear rude, as this is a horrible thing to happen, but that bit's wrong.

If you would have lied, he would presumably have done the same, then it's your word against him (ie no proof beyond all reasonable doubt) and nothing would have happened. Even on the off chance he was arrested, charged and convicted, there's no way to get more than 6 months for criminal damage I'm afraid, and most of the time, it's just a conditional discharge.

I know your intentions are good and I hope people come forward but I would warn you about posting stuff like that. He may have friends on here. You are already a target and I dont want you to be more so and hurt more because your only trying to help your family. Having said that anyone with any info please ring the police and provide them with help.

I think there may be more to it than this one incident though, hence the longer time frame... OPs post has been edited a lot and did contain more details.

Maybe so - 5 years though is a sentence for robberies and pleaded rapes. You have to do a lot of crime for 5 years. Sadly.
