Leah-Lacie
Hmm maybe it just doesn't work right for the 3GS with the different components to the phone (eg slower processor)? I know similar things happen with the Android market and different phone models. Posted from Sheffieldforum.co.uk App for Android

What am I doing wrong? The gps on the 3GS is not very good. I have a 3GS and I'm always losing gps signal. This is why TomTom sell a car cradle for the gps with an external gps antenna built in because the phones antenna is not reliable enough.

TomTom), put your route in etc. then close the app leaving it running in the background, then open the iOS maps app it locks on to gps far quicker than a 3rd party app. Then double tap home button select the gps app you wanted to use and signal should be locked on.
