Brendan Rogers resigns from Celtic to take over at Leicester

Strange one that- if it does happen.

So late in to the season and Celtic are on course for the treble (domestic).

May be Brendan does not want a challenge next season with a likely hot ready Rangers under Gerrard.

Strong argument to say that whoever takes the Celtic job isn't up for a challenge from the start.

The budget for Celtic is like bigger than the entire pub league combined.

Celtic and Rangers in the EPL would have the financial muscle to compete with the Big 6.

Their fan base is monstrous, possibly as big as Man.Utd.

A big 8 will result in many more interesting games.

Super one sided matches in the EPL are its weakness.

You only see these matches involving one of the Big 6.

So why then do the Scottish Premier League winners have to play an extra game to qualify for the Champions League, when the top 3 in the EPL qualify automatically?

Yes that is a surprise, what would they have done if they were mid-table, shot him ? Didn't kow the Baggies were that sort of club.

Top  3 in the EPL go in automatically, 4th place have a one game playoff. Whoever wins the SPL has to play off for a spot in the CL, quite unfair, in my view. That was how it was, not long ago, don't know if it's changed recently.

Terrible decision.

They turned to him when Pardew got sacked and he nearly kept them in- would have if there were more games left.

They're in play off position so this is a strange move by West Brom- hope they miss out altogether now.

A very reactionary move, not untypical though in football management. You are only as good as your last result in most football clubs' boardrooms these days.
