Watford have sacked Claudio Ranieri after less than 4 months in charge.

It also appears that it is the end of the road for Hull City's Grant McCann later this week.

Even for serial sackers Watford, that’s a bit of a surprise.

Managers are getting less time to turn things round these days. I wonder how much it cost Watford, Wednesday and Utd for the short time Ranieri, Pulis and Jokanovic were in charge.

Yes, of course one way of ensuring it costs less is to shorten the contract length.  I can't wait to hear the offer for the next Watford manager -  6 months perhaps?

Apparently Watford have had three fewer managers in the last 10 years than West Ham have had in the whole time they have existed.

Had SWFC miraculously appointed a manager that succeeded in spite of the ownership, he would soon  have been snapped up by a club with long term ambition. What is important is the quality of the full ownership/management package, I am ever hopeful.
