:o Looks like a little Cairn terrier or cross, can't believe that people would let a little one like that roam about with all of those main roads (or any animal come to that) he's going to end up very dead, a collar isn't going to save him...stupid people :(

I dont know how to get pictures onto here but after looking at the picture I have and one put onto here this is the same dog that has been roaming around the Shirecliffe area for months, around longley ave/musgrave/parkwood springs, usually he is accompanied by a large yorkie looking/small bearded collie cross who I know lives in the area.

On numerous occasions I have followed him and tried to get him. He will only approach us when we have the dogs - he has even followed us home, Ive fed him, shut the gate but he is a very clever and determined dog and jumped the fence very easily. He loves other dogs but scared of people.

Poor boy. I wondered why I hadnt seen him around, obviously found his way to hillborough park!

Oh really, that's interesting Loobi. I wonder if he is lost from around Sheffield 5 area then, or even Sheffield 6. Kim Hill mentioned there had been an advert in the Tesco on Dykes Hall Rd looking for a stray brown mongrel. I will pop up at the weekend and have a look. Feel free to share the photo around.

The picture makes him look smaller than he actually is... because he is actually a fair medium sized dog but he does look to have terrier in him.

Yes he does sound like the same dog behaviour wise as he is very timid with people but plays with other dogs, poor thing. I think several people have tried to catch him but yes, he is very crafty and clever!

Hmm, I would bet this is how he is getting out all of the time, but really if the owners don't get topside of that he isn't going to live to old age not roaming around such busy areas.

He is like a small lurcher terrier type, looks very much like one of mine. I will see if I can get a picture up on here of him and the other he wandered around with, I thought they were from the same home but Im not so sure.

He seems to be a very wise stray, he works out exactly what you are about to do! Whether he even has a home that he goes back to is questionable. He could even come from the allotments.

He's always hungry but usually grabs what ever is on offer (if thrown to him) and makes a run for it. He has no road sense which is very worrying.

Sweet little thing. This is no life for him.

Is this the same doggie friend you mention above? I wonder if his owner is the same owner as this one? He is obviously trekking a fair distance all the time to get to Hillsborough Park in S6, it's a miracle he hasn't been knocked down and killed yet! Every time I see him come out of the park on Parkside Road, he just walks across & is narrowly missed by cars (who can speed up Parkside Rd from the dual carriageway)...only a matter of time I feel :(

Yes the same friend. Yes it's crossed my mind that they are owned by the same person too. Somehow he is crossing penistone road to get there.

I saw him last night tried to catch him using roast beef and he still wasn't having any of it and didn't help that Max started to get angry that I was giving his treats away!!!!
