St Vincents school in the 50's

Recommended Posts

My mum is always going on about St Vincent's school.

She will be 70 next year and I would really like to find any of her old school friends. As she was born 1943 I am thinking in the 50's?

Her name then was Kathleen Berrisford. had older sisters Mary, Nellie, Margaret and brothers Walter and Frank.

If any one does remember her can you please please contact me.

Thank you x

Hi Hazel,

Thank you for the reply, my Aunt Margaret still lives in Sheffield.

The next time I chat to her I will mention your name to her, if you let me have your maiden name.

I was at St Vincent's 1954 - 1958. In the boys school. Mr Sweeney was the Head and I remember Sister Cecelia the Head from the girls school.

I was in the same class as 'Finny' we left in 62 when the school became a junior school only & the seniors started at St Paul's Granville Rd the following term.

Only seen David once since then, at the funeral of the father of a fellow classmate held at St Vincents, drink in the Dog & Partridge after. :)

Hope he is keeping well.

My brother and I attended st Vincent's from 1958 to 1961.

My name is Terry lemons and my twin brother is Keith. I left in 1961 when I passed the 13+ exam to go to the Central Technical School. We are both now 65. I am now retired and living in Dronfield. Michael Casey is a name I can remember.
