It's SheffIeld.

Recommended Posts

Not Sheffeld. It has an I in it-for those on Radio SheffIeld who can't pronounce it....Messrs Walker & Giddings take note.

My Ex boyfriend mother and her side of the family calls Sheffield Sheffeld. I have never hear anyone say Sheffeld before till i met his family. I always thought it was them not been able to say the name right or was it an Aston thing, But now reading this it seems others say Sheffeld to.

It never fails to amaze me that trivial things like this can upset some people. I wonder what they're like when faced with a real crisis?

Not upset pal;just curious-even more so now.

My (late) father used to say it without the E though I'd never heard anyone else do the same.
