Fulwood area questions

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I hope you can answer some questions for me. I was wondering if there was any kind of community initiatives in the Fulwood area like there is in other areas of the city,

such as Gleadless Valley Community Forum, or Sharrow Community Forum

And does anyone know if there are any courses offered locally?

like English as a Second Language, Cooking,

like there is in GV

http://www.gvcf.org.uk/what-we-do/education-and-skills.html

Thanks

Are they free? Because in these parts we're expected to pay for everything.

Not really.

Not really true. There's the Hallam Community & Youth Association with its own hall which runs a variety of leisure & fitness courses for people.

People outside of the area may not get to hear about it, possibly because whatever does go on there happens organically, by the local people that live their.

There's a Friends of Porter Valley group, which have done a lot of fund raising and organisation of upkeep and development of the... er... Porter Valley.

If people in the area are daft enough to vote Clegg in, then they've got more money than sense, so fair enough.
