The Star going up again.

Recommended Posts

I hear the Sheffield Star newspaper is to go up by 10p to 60p next week.

How can they justify that when it's now only wafer thin to what it used to be , not to mention all the mistakes that are made.

If you don't like it you know what to do. It won't be long before it disappears. Few will care, or even notice.

I haven't bought a copy for about 10 years. I last looked at a copy in a chinese takeaway about 3 years ago.

Ha nice one, that's what you call recycled newspapers.

It is probably going up in price because they are delivering to incorrect addresses...I've had one shoved through my letter box for the last month and do not subscribe. Somewhere there is an annoyed person not receiving their paper.

Perhaps the price keeps increasing, because the circulation is droping.

Publication gets earlier and earlier, its no longer an evening paper, hence the news when printed correctly is usually old news.

Johnson press have been in financial trouble for some time, but with the" Star " price currently at 50p and the "Green un" at a £1 !!

The final throw of their dice maybe to charge for access to the newspapers web page. There is no longer a need for the purchase of the "Star" .

If the Star became a free paper it would still be over priced.
